


Desert Botanical Garden Seasonal Adventures
Join homeschooling families to explore seasons of the Sonoran Desert through the lens of nature study, art, and natural history!
Fall // All Things Bright and Beautiful: Nature-inspired classical arts and rare desert species in the garden // Fri, Oct 31, 2025
Winter // The Resourceful People: Purposeful plants and The O’odham tribe // Fri, Nov 21, 2025
Spring // Pollinators and Wildflowers of the Sonoran Desert: Observing and journaling fleeting wonders (includes butterfly pavillion) // Fri, Mar 6, 2026
This relaxed, homeschool teacher-led tour will use a Charlotte Mason approach to build skills for nature study and the “science of relations” through connection to other subjects. Following the tour, enjoy a packed lunch in a group area with other families.
Who: Open to all ages. Each child is $12. One free parent chaperone per family. Children age 2 and under are free.
When: 10 - 11:15AM, plus optional picnic lunch to follow (see dates above)
