European and American Art Tour - Fri, Sept 12, 10AM
Get up close to Monet and the impressionists, portraiture Mary Cassat, and the adventurous Winslow Homer, among others. Students will learn how art acts as a mirror, reflecting the culture in which it exists and documenting the histories of events, peoples, places, and values.
Art of the American Southwest - Fri, Jan 9, 10AM
Monsoons, canyons, and the spirit of the west! Enjoy a tour through multiple artforms used by indigenous people, early pioneers, and modern artists to capture the stunning landscape and adventurous people of the American southwest.
Who: Tours are designed for children ages 6-14. Younger children welcome with parents supervision.
Parent Note: These tours will not include works that depict mature subject matter, however please be advised that the museum does contain such works. Parents are encouraged to use their discretion and temporarily redirect their children if you are in proximity to objectionable content. We will not visit special exhibitions or the modern art gallery.
