Free for families and free for hosts. No subscription, ever. Events can be free or paid: for paid events, the family registering pays the price of their spot plus a small payment & platform fee. Hosts pay nothing.

Just your invitation link and a minute to sign up. Creating an account is quick and easy, and registering, including payment for paid events, takes only a few clicks in any browser. Once you're in, you also get reminders, event chat, and events near you.

Yes. Public homeschool events near you are open to browse at app.theassemblyapp.com/discover, no account or download needed. You only need to sign up when you're ready to register for one.

All payments run through Stripe, the same processor used by millions of businesses. Assembly never sees or stores your card details.

If a host cancels a paid event through Assembly, every confirmed registration is refunded automatically and everyone who registered is notified. For anything else, start with the host — they're the merchant for their paid events.

A refund returns the full amount the guest paid, including Assembly's service fee, which we give back in full. Stripe keeps its payment processing fee on the original charge, so that piece comes out of the host's balance. The terms spell this out.

Events show who's coming by first name and last initial only, and only to people who can already see the event. Hosts can hide the attendee list entirely.

Connect a bank account from Profile → Payouts in the app. Stripe walks you through verification inline, and money from your paid events flows to you directly.

Profile → Notifications in the app has a per-type matrix for email, text, and browser notifications. Account emails you need — like payment confirmations — always send.

Assembly runs in your browser at app.theassemblyapp.com, on phones, tablets, and computers.
